Carroll Odem, M.D. joined the staff of Kroll Care in September, 2018.
Dr.Odem comes to Kroll Care from 20 years of practicing Internal Medicine, and Pain Management. In addition he has been practicing addiction medicine since 2014. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2003.
He is a graduate of ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. Dr Odem did a residency in INTERNAL MEDICINE ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He received certification to practice addiction medicine in 2014. Dr Odem is an internal medicine physician with nearly 20 years experience in managing pain for post orthopedic procedures, cancer patients and in a chronic pain management practice
Dr. Odem was a medical director at Avalon Hospice with well over 120 patients from 2014 thru July of 2018 when he left to join Kroll Care. Dr Odem worked as a hospitalist at Parkridge Hospital from 2013 thru July of 2018.
Dr. Odem has practiced primary care, internal medicine, palliative care, pain management and addiction treatment at Wade in the Water Medicine LLC from June 2014 thru present. Palliative (end of life) care provides relief from pain and other distressing symptoms. It affirms life and regards dying and living as normal processes. These patients are down to medical management only with all other options exhausted.
Last but not least, Dr. Carroll Gilbert Odem is a father of three and a husband of one. He is a lover of Christ. He is a compassionate physician who subscribes to the idea of patient autonomy and that of a physician as a teacher /caregiver and servant.
